Acrylic on cut pieces of canvas applied to wire mesh (1 to 11b)
Canvas and wire on wood (12, 13)
Ink on canvas and gouache on paper (14 to 17)
Colored ink on paper (18)
For most of the sculptures in this category, Wardy rolled wire mesh, glued cut pieces of raw canvas onto the surface of a roll, and then painted the work with acrylic. The pieces vary in height and diameter and in number of parts. All can be removed from their bases, and some can stand on their own.
The works on paper are whimsical complements to the primary sculptures while further sculptural variation is evident with numbers 12 and 13 in which wire holds the canvas pieces in place and provides linear accents.
